Etymology
From Old Tefrian ṭr (/ṭar/), from Proto-Tephricheic *ṭars, from Proto-Asisic *ṭar-. Cognate with West Achissari در (dar), East Achissari ڊر (dˀar), Vancian ter, Bulusic teŕ, Nyongom трам (tram), Dovasene траҙ (traɀ), and Khbirye ჹჱ (ṙej), also distantly related to descendants of Proto-Indo-European *tréyes, such as English three, French trois, Irish trí, Greek τρεις (treis), Russian три (tri), and Armenian երեք (erekʻ), and may extremely disputedly be further distantly related to descendants of Proto-Northwest Caucasian *λːǝ, such as Abaza хпа (xpa), Abkhaz хԥа (xpa), and Ubykh śǝ.
