Ośnir(Ośnir: syhośnirá [sɨxoʂɲirɑː]) is a North Ossic language spoken natively by around 40,000 Ośnir people(ośnirá) in the region of Oślaith,[a] which is primarily situated around the Oś river. However, in recent years it has also gained many L2 speakers thanks to the efforts of proponents of Iśatúredá(lit. "Iśatúr-ism"), both its original proponents, and its modern continuation, the Vilskar. Thus, since independence, the Ośnir language has spread in use across the Confederacy, far from traditional Oślaith.
