Alternative Forms

Hanmun:  ; Latin: li; Unacceptable: 貍

Pronunciation

(Dan'a'yo) IPA: /ri/

Usage Notes

While this character is of recent coinage by the Japanese, it is still used in Dan'a'yo as the update of 貍. It is technically a 'Naming Character' and most often used in 海狸/beaver, but it is a possible resolution of the sound 'li'. It is one of very few character totally missing from any list on Korea but nevertheless a part of the language.
