Proto-Coelo-Caric

Etymology

In Silōs, this suffix apparently was combined with an implied or "zero" verbalizing suffix, transferring the meaning from "as/like something" to "to make as/like something". Possibly due to conflation, blending, or association with the verb a ("to be") or the verb *ri(x)a ("to cause, to effect").

Pronunciation

(Proto-Coelo-Caric) IPA: /i.ma/ [i.mä]

Suffix
