Pomorian

Etymology

From Old Pomorian klētis, which came from Proto-Balto-Slavic *keltis from *kel- (to raise). The word underwent metathesis (*keltis > *klētis) in Proto-Balto-Slavic. Cognates include Cognates include Old Prussian klētis, Lithuanian klėtis, Latvian klēts, Proto-Slavic *klětь (from earlier *klētis).
