Talman accents

General Wen Dămea

Bjeheondian Windermere with a Skellan-ish accent

  • /l/ is vocalized to [ɤ̯ˤ] and becomes [χˤ] after aspirated consonants.
    • /el ol il yl ul eəl oəl iəl yəl uəl/ = [ɛɤ̯ˤ ɔɤ̯ˤ ɪɤ̯ˤ ʏɤ̯ˤ ʊɤ̯ˤ eːɤ̯ˤ oːɤ̯ˤ iːɤ̯ˤ yːɤ̯ˤ uːɤ̯ˤ]
  • Voicing distinction becomes an aspiration distinction, and /ə/ is deleted after aspirated consonants.
  • There are allophonic long vowels before voiced consonants. This is how final voiced and voiceless stops are distinguished.

Sătmaș

  • th = [s̪~z̪] (like Basque z)
  • s = [s̠~z̠] (Basque s)

Chăloa

Syllable-initial f, th, s are also voiced, in addition to syllable-final f, th, s.
