Elves (Homo alfus, occasionally H. albus) are a species of hypercarnivorous cobalid (Tribe Hominini), characterized by their clear adaptations into reliance on brood-parasitism with various groups of humans, mainly in western Valsatbat, for survival. A large part of its distinctiveness can be attributed to the majority of humans having a natural fear of elves, though admittedly possessing many unusual traits among its closest relatives; being less sexually dimorphic than even humans, having both hexadactylism and arachnodactyly naturally, lacking many inherent magical abilities, frequent but not exclusive quadrupedialism, and being the only truly arboreal member of ZE-1b's extant australopiths.
