Cannasacian is a Equestrian Language spoken as a minority in Equestria. The earliest known records of Cannasacian were written in Old Cannasacian on tree bark in the Cannasacian Script around 100 C.E.

It is most widely spoken in the Equestrian province of Cindaxia and as a minority elsewhere.

Etymology

The name of the language comes from the Old Cannasacian words kafma and sakus meaning "high" and "mountain" possible referring to the Unicorn and Foal mountain ranges where Cannasacian is native to.

History

Colonization

Around 1523 the language was in it's Late Middle Cannasacian period when the Hegamonian people and English started colonizing Equestria. This decreased the number of Cannasacian speakers who favored Hegamonian and Essedrish as first languages. Lots of loan words from these languages were imported to Cannasacian at this time.
