Category:Songs and poems
(Redirected from Literature:Songs and poems)
- It has been said by some that before talking there was song. It is not too unreasonable to imagine (birds sing but do not talk) primitive songs and melodies being hummed by early man before he mastered the use of split-ergativity. Songs and their usually unsung brethren - the poems - are expressions of human ingenuity found in all cultures. Here on Linguifex, we encourage writing and translating these two, not only to encourage linguistic development but also because it's fun and wonderful. –– Administration.
