This template generates automatic Siwa IPA transcriptions with a given word. It uses Module:siwa-pron as a back end.
Features
- Converts the orthography into IPA following the rules described in the grammar.
- Generates dialectal pronunciation, which are placed in a new line if they differ from the standard. If they don't, they are not printed.
- Detects dialectal orthography in the page title, and only outputs pronunciation for that dialect.
- Prefix and suffix detection, with secondary stress added if applicable
Usage
Usage is pretty straightforward. The page title is treated as the default input; otherwise, parameter |1=
is used. A middle dot ( · ) is used to indicate morpheme boundaries.
