Several different schemes are in use for naming tropical cyclones in Tricin. By convention any Trician tropical cyclone is called a hurricane in English when the storm has hurricane-force winds (i.e. a wind speed above a set value).
Etalocin
Etalocian hurricane names may be
- words and sometimes personal names from classical Etalocian languages (e.g. Dodellian, Classical Netagin, Tamil, Thensarian, Adetsib)
- names of flowers, birds or fish
The official name is the Eevo transliteration of the word.

In the New World hurricane names are Eevo personal names (reflecting Eevo's dominance in the modern New World).
