Sound Changes
- all stops merge
- e/o merge into a, resulting no more laryngeal distinctions either.
- krewh2- > kraw
- diphthongs involving i/y and u/w collapse into monophthongs (i and u)
- kraw- > kru-; krewh2-s > krus & kruh2-ros > kruras
- r and l merge (represented by l after P and K; represented by r after T)
- kru- > klu-
- tr, rt become ts and then s, creating some doublets from some forms
- terh2- > tal- & treh2- > sa-
- umlauting comes into effect:
- CaC-i (conceptualisation) > CeC
- CiC-a (thematic stems) > CeC
- CaC-u (-u- stems) > CoC
- CuC-a (thematic stems)> CoC
- kruh2ros > klu-la > čora?
