Tarueb is the native language of about 20 million people, the majority of which living in the country of Taruebus. It is the only language of a country of the former Kaiṣamā which has always been written in the Íscégon script, and the only one not to have a significant Chlouvānem part of its modern day vocabulary. | Tarueb is the native language of about 20 million people, the majority of which living in the country of Taruebus. Tarueb and Taruebus are, like many names of places and peoples on Calémere, names that have a long history, dating from the first conworld-like things I made back when I was 9 or 10. Later on, in an early version of Calémere, the one [[Laceyiam]] was in, Tarueb was a Cis-Tahianshima language, genealogically related to Laceyiam. The current version of Tarueb is a completely different language, and has nothing to do with either Laceyiam or [[Chlouvānem]]. My main inspiration for it is Swiss German, with also bits of Nahuatl, English, and Wolof. | Tarueb and Taruebus are, like many names of places and peoples on Calémere, names that have a long history, dating from the first conworld-like things I made back when I was 9 or 10 (when I pronounced it [taruˈeːbus].
