User:Ceige/Some Middle Country Language
The timeline of the language has been broken up into strata.
Substratum
Basic description
The Substratum of the language is descended from a phonetically simpler language not known from direct evidence. Its descendent, however, has complicated vowel combinations and has reduced syllable count in words significantly.
Mediostratum #1
Basic description
This first mediostratum as it is called is actually a creolising influence that occured after the major changes of the substratum from its ancestor had completed and stabilised.
Mediostratum #2
Basic description
The second mediostratum is actually largely a superstrate occuring from massive migration into the new stabilised and developing nation.
Dialectisation
Basic description
After growth, the nation began to end up with rather self-sufficient and powerful subregions which started to diverge from each other politically and culturally.
Dialect Merger
Basic description
After a period of reunification, the dialects largely became merged.
Superstratum
Basic description
Following a long period of peace and a subsequent period of isolationism, the nation was momentarily absorbed into another with greater technology and social progress.
