Basic list

  • ã = "uh" +nasal implies consideration or thought - irrealis (cf. Japanese -a-(nu), Arabic ma, PIE ne)
  • wa = "ah" +rounded onset implies wonderment (reacting to something imprecise)
  • wã (a +rounded +nasal) = implies wonderment and ponderment
  • wãwã/wã'ã = "what?" (cf. mana, nani, Ar. mā/maða and matā but cf. 'ay(na) (where), kay(fa) (how))
  • ha = come to a realisation, react, exclamate?
  • hã = react to a thought (understand? know?)
  • ka = question ("uh" after a velar closure) (cf. Japanese, Indonesian, Indo-European)
  • kã = ponder a question
  • kahã = have a question, and then come to a thoughtful realisation (cf. JP wakaru, IE ǵneh₃-).

  • wi = home in, go from something imprecise to something precise, spot, close in > see (cf. PIE weyd-)
  • wĩ (wi +nasal) = +nasal implies consideration or thought (cf. JP miru)
  • i / yV- = precise?
  • ya = precisely, excitement (cf. yum, yuck, but note nyam equivalents)
  • yã / ya+ma = excited eating
  • yã-k / ya+ma+ka = excited eating with a bad reaction (e.g. choking), "yuck").
