North Semitic, or Togarmo-Canaanite, is a Lõisian lineage of Semitic separate from Central Semitic.

Hak-kʰabłu wa-hap-pʰarašū

Kʰabłum, ðū lahu lā hawiya tłamrum, yarʔi pʰarašīm: yagrur ʔaħadum minhumū markʰabatʰam þakūlam, wa-yaħmil ʔaħadum ħimlam gadālam, wa-yaħmil mahīram aħadum ʔināšam. Wa-yaʔmar hak-kʰabłu: Marra lī hal-libbu, bi-riʔāyatʰī ʔināšam rākʰibam pʰarašīm. Wa-yaʔmarū hap-pʰarašū: Šamaʕ hak-kʰabła!
