No bilabials!

Since Attian has no /b~p/, how would my (irl) name turn out? :O   Chrysophylax 00:17, 15 November 2012 (CET) upd: *goili > [ɡ͡boili]? maybe?   Chrysophylax 00:28, 15 November 2012 (CET)

For transcripting foreign names, a velar + u /u/ is added. On velars, this triggers a labiovelarisation and it'd be guilli /ɡ͡bili/. Either that or just a /b/. They can speak other languages as well! ;) But yes, well guessed! I have the sample word kuedzi /ˈk͡pɛdzi/ which is a loanword meaning "A bread baked in the oven, oven bread" from Slavic *pekti.   Waahlis 19:03, 15 November 2012 (CET)
