Imathyda is the current name of my current conworld project (there's a lot of currency going on here).

Imathyda is Lethic word for world, and can be glossed as sea-land (ima-thyda).

Introduction

The project began with a silly joke between me and Zev over something called the Fing language (actually another language now called Xuayang). In a group, someone had asked (with some understandable frustration) how to trill an 'Fing R'. I decided to be helpful and interpret 'Fing R' as referring to the /r/ in a language called Fing. I then made up a story about how /r/ had shifted to /j/ in the "modern language", but in the "classical language" was pronounced as a uvular trill by nobles and as a retroflex approximant by commoners.

Then Zev kept the ball rolling and brought in the supposed influence of the Lethean language, whatever that was.

And then things got out of hand and I couldn't stop adding to the backstory.

Regions of Imathyda

The first conceptually developed continent is the Letho-Xua continent.
