Several different schemes are in use for naming tropical cyclones in Tricin. By convention any Trician tropical cyclone is called a hurricane in English when the storm has hurricane-force winds (i.e. a wind speed above a set value).
Etalocin
Etalocian hurricane names may be
- words and sometimes personal names from classical Etalocian languages (e.g. Dodellian, Windermere, Tamil, Thensarian, Adutsib)
- names of flowers, birds or fish
The official name is the Eevo transliteration of the word.
