It is said that Odesser appeared to Rhamanus atop of the mesa that would become Telrhamir, and gave them their blessing, and a mandate to cultivate creation in humanity.  Odesser was considered to be in direct contact with the kings of Telrhamir, and then later the Mater Pristus of the Senate.

Odesser is usually depicted as very plain and unassuming; agendered, bald, beardless, and in their 60's or 70's, with dark brown or black skin, with simple white robes.  They are often shown standing before the sun, or raising a hand to signal the covenant with Rhamanus.  They are also occasionally shown wearing the robes of the Mater Pristus.  Their symbol is a peregrin falcon.
