===The Alphabet===

The Brooding Alphabet itself consists of 49 seeing characters and 15 blind characters for a total of 64 characters in all.  The first sixteen characters are synonymous with and in the order of the first 16 numbers. The next seven characters are factorials used to create larger numbers. The origin of the order of the next 24 characters is lost to antiquity, but note that the paired vowels always appear together. The penultimate seeing character, ''Seering'' is the only seeing character which does not begin with the sound it represents (/ŋ/). The final seeing character is also the number ‘zero’.
