Classical Ylonian (Ýlonos) is a Ylid language that was spoken in the classical Ylonian confederacy as a lingua franca.
Real World Background
Ylonian is based off of Esperanto and thus might be considered an Esperantido in a loose sense. It takes features of Esperanto that in a traditional grammatical analysis might be taken to be more "ancient" and haphazardly extrapolates those features to make a classical hellenaesthetic looking language that isn't totally Indo-European.
Grammar
- -s = terminative, shows the end of a phrase, verbal or nominative.
- -o = plain nominative ending
- -ā = locative (used for adverbs too)
- -n = oblique ("marked") case (used to form adjectives, genitives, nominalise etc)
- -i = stative and gerundative, sometimes frequentative or durative, can be used for the plural.
- -a, o, etc
