how does Scots differ from english? From what I read it's just some dialect Emperor Zelos 08:09, 17 April 2014 (CEST)
It's somewhat similar to the Scandinavian situation: kind of languages, kind of dialects. As always when approaching the blurry language-dialect line, it's mainly a matter of politics since there's no absolute definition of language as distinct from dialect; it's a continuum. However, tbh, I think Scots probably does qualify as being a separate language. Pá mamūnám ontā́ bán 14:40, 17 April 2014 (CEST)
