Etymology
From Old Tevrés çeira from Late Aeranir ceñar, from Aeranir coeñar (“language”), reanalysed plural of coeña ("word"), from Proto-Iscaric kʷoiɲā, from PME kweiñ ("to say, to speak"). Compare with queñir ("to love"). Cognate with S'entigneis çoire, çoyer, Ilesse cheña, chañare.
