This noun is only ever used in the nominative singular; all other forms are expressed using the synonym ''[[Contionary:sutá|sutá]]'' instead.

It is most commonly used as feminine, likely due to the ''-tá'' suffix in the synonym. Masculine concord is sometimes found in older poetry, as well as in Central Inland dialects (areas of Bádwer, Leninsyahr, Gelehafnené, Kalénisaray).
