Tricin (English: /ˈtrɪsin/ TRIS-in or /ˈtrɪkɪn/ TRIK-in; Eevo: a Smøøh /ə smœyh/; Clofabosin: tricin /tɾikin/ 'world'; Tsjoen: Xjeof /ɬjʌf/) is a collaborative conworld setting originally created by User:IlL (and to a large extent, User:Praimhín).
Please note that appearance of a political or religious view, in any time period or region of Tricin, does NOT imply endorsement of said view by the Tricin workgroup or any of its contributors.

Some ideas and loose guidelines
- The idea behind Tricin is loosely "What if LW rationalists ran the world?"
- In general, conlangs and names should avoid words that sound like
- racial etc. slurs
- profanities in common Earth languages
- names of infamously destructive hurricanes (e.g. "Katrina" or "Harvey")
- Find some microtonalist types
- Find a domain to host a dedicated wiki on
- Global warming might force people to migrate - main driver of linguistic change in the beginning of postmodern Tricin?
- Trician architecture?
- Draw the map
- A Tricin manga series?
- we could certainly imagine a TV show/video game set in Tricin as food for thought
- When creating a Trician character, you can give them multiple interests (like, say, mathematician and composer) but generally you should give them at most one field to be major or famous in, especially if the character is contemporary.
- Explore cultural contact and conflict, particilarly between Etalocians and non-Etalocians.
- Nonhuman races like "elves"?
Star system
Tricin is the second of 7 planets orbiting a G-type main sequence star, called að ond in Eevo, grian in Clofabosin, and pjeos in Tsjoen.
Planet names in Eevo, Clofabosin and Tsjoen:
- Sfiþ, spitin, Njav - terrestrial
- Smøøh, tricin, Xjeof - terrestrial
- Satellite: Søøm, porfin, Tmud
- Aloð, alatin, Joereot - terrestrial
- Fricoð, fricodin, Hepn - super-Earth
- Sderciþ, sterocitin, Atkeo - gas giant
- Taroð, tarofudin, Kjen - gas giant
- Llifr, clifarin, Zjuteom - ice giant
Planetary characteristics
1 Trician year = 381.3668618 Earth days = 357.0806527870906 Trician days = 1.04410737342 Earth years
1 Trician day = 25.6323176 hours
357 days = 51 7-day weeks
Leap day every 12.3988275678 years
months: 30 30 30 29 30 30 30 29 30 30 30 29(30)
Leap year every 12 except when the year is divisible by 372. If the year is divisible by 130944=352*372 it's a leap year.
so the years 270, 520, 790, X40, 10E0, 1360, 1610, 1880, ... are not leap years
Continents
28% of Tricin's surface is land (i.e. not covered by water).
Continents (Areas are ballpark estimates):
- Etalocin (Eevo: Eþa): An on average temperate continent, covers 6% of the surface and 20% of the land
- Bjeheond (Eevo: Ogxóoŋ): about 10% of the land
- Txapoalli: about 30% of the land, climate varies widely
- Cualuav (Eevo: Cualuav): 30%
- Polar ice caps: 10%
Other areas:
- Zoom Islands (near Txapoalli)
TODO: Residual and spread zones within each continent.
Calendar
The following describes the Etalocian calendar, which is now a global standard across Tricin.
Year 0 marks the founding of the Windermere Republic. Negative years are written with a minus sign.
Months in Clofabosin:
- talaporfin
- uneporfin
- verteporfin
- rostaporfin
- exeporfin
- avidoporfin
- temoporfin
- padeliporfin
- padoporfin
- stannsoporfin
- lemuteporfin
- rufiporfin
A seven-day week is used. The names of the days of the week in Clofabosin are:
- domorelin
- remorelin
- mimorelin
- famorelin
- solmorelin
- lamorelin
- timorelin
The current Trician year is fT 2292 (13b0dd).
Major oceans and seas
Time zones
Prehistory
- Long period of glaciation like in our world.
Neurotypes
Mostly similar to Earth humans
- There is a contingent of people who are not stereotypically autistic but they aren't normie-normies either. More common among scientists, mathematicians and artists. Classically autistic people are at one end of this spectrum.
Languages
Major languages
Roughly in order of number of speakers:
Language families
Geographical clustering of features
[outsourced]
- dark skin/hair, epicanthal folds, blue eyes, straight hair (Immeska mentioned this)
In-universe conlangs
- Fantasy language aesthetics:
- breathy-voiced stops/geminates like Old Eevo, Bhadhagha and Camalic
- Proto-Clofabic gib
- pseudo-Adutsib or pseudo-Naquian
- pseudo-Windermere
Programming languages
Programming languages usually have Eevo keywords. Some common languages are:
- High-level language (Java + Python hybrid)
- Functional language
- C analogue
People
Surnames are bolded.
Modern
- Cholesterol Lipitor - Clofabian dietitian
- Mpüntemzlouk Ntalß - Tei abstract painter
- Picumeterol Crestor - Clofabian actor and comedian
- Haests Njeolat - Tsjoen science fiction writer
- Schlomo Schngellstein - conlanger, co-creator of Verse:Tricin/Earth
- Praimhìn Scèashartàbha - Bhadhagha psychologist and composer
- Segin Þwhgad - Fyxámian composer
- Bysgáj Malloc - Fyxámian computer scientist
