Æ /ɛ/ eh (native: jarb-jarb Æ /jaˁʱjaˁʱ ɛ/ 'Æ words'; Windermere: brits Ä) is a minority Lakovic language spoken near Wieb Province in the USB. It's inspired by Danish (and the name is inspired by the real-world E language).

Vowels

Khmerization conditioned by initial voicing:

  • Proto-Tumhanic i > ɪ/i (RTR/ATR) > e/i
  • Proto-Tumhanic u > ʊ/u > ů/u
  • Proto-Tumhanic o > ɔ/o > o/ø
  • Proto-Tumhanic a > ɑ > ɒ/øə > å/æ̊
  • Proto-Tumhanic e > ɛ/e > a/æ
  • Proto-Tumhanic ä > ɐ > a/u

TODO: Finals should affect this somewhat

  • hæ̊g /hœʔ/ = to lose one's way > hæ̊rg /hœˤʔ/ = mistake, error
  • to /to/ = to see > tor /toˤ/ = to be visible, to appear
