From skip ‘ship’ (from Griutungi skip, cf. Gothic skip, from ProtoGermanic skipą) and rjuri ‘wreck, disaster, ruin’ (from Old Valthungian rjurī, from Griutungi riurī, cf. Gothic riurei, from ProtoGermanic reurį̄).
