Offensive

Is there a point to this one? It can be considered offensive Zelos.png Emperor Zelos 17:28, 13 November 2012 (CET)

Zelos, please start your subjects with a heading, would you? I too find it a tad discouraging. 'Tisn't offensive... just an award you'd only give yourself. Also, I object strongly to the use of UBX instead of the dominant Userbox. Waahlis.png Waahlis 17:33, 13 November 2012 (CET)

Still, Also my bad, I forget.

I agree with your object, it should be if anything "UB" as User Box are two seperate words, but otherwise Userbox works oto Zelos.png Emperor Zelos 17:36, 13 November 2012 (CET)

I will make a note of that in my organisation of the template naming. We need a structure. Waahlis.png Waahlis 17:39, 13 November 2012 (CET)

Actually, it is not two separate words. Ref: userboxes on wikipedia. Notice the consistent spelling of a MediaWiki userbox as userbox and the mention of the common abbrev. UBX. That being said, shall we use {{Userbox:IGotMilk}} then?
On another note, as Waahlis mentioned, no, it is not meant to be offensive, nor should it ever be, as userboxes are not to be placed on another user's page (talk excepted) per common netiquette. Thus only users who opt to describe their own language as such are the intended users. Just thought I'd jump in and share my 0.1356 crowns. Admin.png Chrysophylax 20:23, 13 November 2012 (CET)

I agree, 'tis one word. However, the word userbox in itself isn't very long, and thus acceptable instead of the less transparent UBX. Also, it might be worth mentioning, that using a mixed case in any kind of title, is heavily discouraged. This is part of my staggering overhaul of the templates: User:Waahlis/On templates. Please leave a comment on that talk page for further discussion. Waahlis.png Waahlis 20:30, 13 November 2012 (CET)
