Oh dear, that's quick work! I will ask my fellow administrators how they feel about a move, and I'll let them contact you instead on this wiki.

By the way, I had a certain designer role at the old wiki, and we had a special theme - so would you mind telling met you'd think of these pictures and buttons? :)

- Used for headers of certain categories, Linguifex-pages and conlangs. Administrator and policy buttons. I fill buttons like this one with a motif that suits its purpose.

File:Whiteline.png - you can't see this one, because it's white. It is a background for page headers, which are at the top of the page with notices, titles or messages.

Finally, I've made a small draught for a new logo! Unless you want the current one! - File:Linguifex 1.0.png

I was already paying a webhosting fee for pretty much what amounted to my e-mail accounts and a small underdeveloped page with a few lines in Dhannua. So I had a lot of space and I thought, with wikkii down and wikia-awful ads/weird layout I figured I'd rather start something on my own, whose integrity and up-keep I myself could control. :P Then I spent some time considering names with -wiki until I figured linguifex was nicer (in my ears). I don't think it's a real latin word, but I modeled it on ars, artis + -fex (creator/agentative thing-y, -artisan) to get linguifex (artisan of languages/tongues) :P - Chrysophylax (talky talk) 17:34, 10 November 2012 (CET)

MOB has created an account.
I've imported the Template:Documentation and an array of cascading templates.
The Template:Header has been imported.
I've uploaded a lot of pictures, spheres, which I'd appreciate if you took a look at.
In addition, or rather mostly, I've been working on a very preliminary draught of a section for the Main page.

Yeah, there are a lot of mini-templates that are used in larger templates that are used in other templates. All to get the wiki-style infobox to work. I'm following the list on ETCWiki which contains guides to setting up things properly and yeah. Unfortunately, the guide recommends you start with the more complex templates first XD and then the ones that get the rest to work. Sigh.

Sorry for delaying so! I've been most busy these last two weeks. :\ Anyhow, Automatic Board Welcome seems to depend on SocialProfile which currently does not work with our MediaWiki version. We would have to downgrade the whole wiki to get SocialProfile (and by extension Automatic Board welcome) to work in the current state of matters. Unfortunately, until https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=29984 is fixed, I'm not sure there's much that I can do regarding this feature. =\ Chrysophylax 23:16, 28 November 2012 (CET)

It looks quite awesome, I like the items. For some reason my admin button changes colour from blue to orange-y. ??. Oh no, not fully centred! I mispoke, dear Waahlis. What I meant is that the current layout seems a tad empty in the centre area and considering that personally, my eyes kind of land there, it feels a bit like wasted screen estate. I'm also a bit curious regarding the big buttons we have. They do not seem to align properly on my screen at least and it's kind of bothering me, to be honest. Two in line and one… off.

But hey, liking the general idea. I tried installing a youtube extension earlier today while activity = low but it seemed to have broken the Wiki. I'll keep hunting for some other plugin that'd work. As I'm not sure how much space sound files would occupy on the webhost and the perf. delays this might incur I am currently more inclined to add a YoutuBe linking option than full sound file upload (God forbid someone should upload wav files… xD). They're uncompressed sound files,i.e. raw sound data. Lots of space eating. Keeping them on file might itself not be too bad (since I have a lot of hard drive space for Linguifex) but once you factor in the uploading/downloading it might quickly eat up the bandwidth I have. :\ Not sure how much people are used to ogg vorbis/MP3 compressing and since most recorders record in .WAV, it could quickly turn not nice, I suspect… I'll look into it though… Chrysophylax 13:35, 2 December 2012 (CET)

Svårt att förstå stockholmska? Talar vi om klassisk stockholmska? Ca. 50-tal? Den är knepig att förstå även för dagens stockholmare. Vår kära stereotypiska e-älskande dialekt håller på att trängas undan och ersättas med mer TV-påverkad rikssvenska även här i caput nationis. När det gäller /r/ så nä, jag tror bara jag har hört sörlänningar (läs skåningar) bruka [R] (låtsas att den är uppochner). This particular instance which I do indeed label "abuse of power" infringed on my liberty of blanking my page which I previously had. If that is your opinion on the term "abuse of power", I'll change the term to "abuse of authority". Fits more and doesn't imply repercussions for me.

Further arguments for my side: Waahlis' retroactive application of law is not condoned by neither the German Federal Constitution (Artikel 103, Teil 2), nor the Swedish Constitution (Kapitel 2, 10§), while the British legal structure does indeed allow such retroactive application of law but only by express will of the Parliament.
Here it must be noted taht it isn't the individual punished but the act "repaired" to a state condoned by the current law while the previous state is in violation of said law except that it was condoned by the laws that applied at the time of creation of that state.

The contionary has been given its own namespace. Since it is a new namespace I had to suppress the auto-capitalisation of articles in the new namespace. At the moment it is now fully case-sensitive so Contionary:mann and Contionary:Mann are different entries.

Regarding the recommended article style for the Contionary, after having been a bit on wiktionary I feel strongly inclined to include alternative forms first and then the etymology right at the top and any expanded inflection after the actual definition.

I personally am of the opinion that alt. forms at the top are useful when dealing with older/pre-spelling reform versions of words which can be handy for conlangers (what with our revisions xD). I think etym. should be closer to the top than pron. as I feel the pron. section should be closer to the lemma/def.

Okej, det verkar finnas någon uppfattning om att allt ska vara förkortat så mycket som möjligt för att “spara” plats. Detta är en bra idé i lagom mängder. Grammar tags beskriver väl vad det är; GT däremot kan betyda GotlandsTidningar, Göteborgs-Tidningen, Gran Turismo, Guatemala, Gas turbine, Google talk, google translate, Gamla Testamentet, greek template, etc. Att reservera hela kasusets namn för inflection of-mallen känns lite overkill; någon kanske vill skapa ett kasustemplate senare som har fler funktioner. Därav kombinationen Grammar tag + kasus. Vi förlorar inte något på att ha det tydliga namnet "Grammar tag …case…". I värsta fall några bytes vilket jag lugnt kan säga att vi har råd med. :P

Poängen med grammar tags är att de ska användas i olika templates; inte i handskriven artikelwikimarkup. :P

Varför inte greek template? GT-acc|GT-nom|GT-loc|GT-dat kan feltolkas som det språkets eller ett annat språks templates för diverse kasus. Grammar tag acc går inte att missförstå. Det är en grammatik"tag" för kasuset ackusativ. Jag håller med dig om att templates är värdelösa om de inte sparar tid men jag ser faktiskt inte hur dessa är det då de uppfyller en tidsbesparande funktion? Jag gav dig källkoden till {{inflection of}} som ett exempel; Här väljs korrekt grammatiktagg efter inmatningsvärde när den genererar meningen i deklinerade ords uppslagsformer. T.ex. skriver man {{Inflection of|lex|lēx|acc|s}} och får singular of acc. Istället för att skriva ''accusative singular of [[Contionary:lex|lēx]].'' och sedan skriva om varje gång man skapar en artikel för andra av ordets deklinerade former så kan man bara klistra in {{Inflection of|lex|lēx|acc|s}} och ändra den variabel som skiljer sig, t.ex. s->p för ackusativ pluralis. Jag vidhåller alltså att de här templates faktiskt spar tid. Men visst, de vore värdelösa om de vore ämnade att skrivas i artiklar som {{grammar tag acc}} då det går snabbare att bara skriva acccusative. Det håller jag med om. Det är dock inte meningen. I tried installing math thingies before and it just broke the server repeatedly. I also don't actually have access to install executables on the server (I'm on a shared virtual host) and I think you need one for the math package so I'm not sure if that can be added presently. If I remember correctly someone made one math package that's fully browser-rendered with SVG and JS and HTML5 wizardry.
