Rebracketing of words ending in -kar or -kër, such as Alfakar, Cansakar, and Këľzokër, most likely sharing a derivation from Proto-Valtamic *-ṗakår, from Proto-Italic *pāgos (whence Latin pāgus) or *-bʉ(r)kår, borrowed from Proto-Germanic *burgz.
