On Antarctican

Hello Linguist Wannabee!

When I added categories to the Antarctican page, I noticed that your page is littered with rather foreign code? I must ask if this was intended? Sincerely, Waahlis.png Waahlis 08:21, 26 January 2013 (CET)

Hi Waahlis,

Not intended at all, I just wrote the whole thing in Microsoft Office and then exported it to HTML. If it has put some weird code in, then feel free to edit it out.

Ah, I suspected as much! I do not know why the editor doesn't like copying, but I'll try to fix it. :) Also, don't forget to sign with ~~~~! Waahlis.png Waahlis 12:53, 27 January 2013 (CET)

Okay, so I've begun clearing your code and fixing layout and terminology. I must however advise you to change your method of editing; currently, your contributions occupy at the very least 50 times as much space as normal edits, and they bring technical problems... :/ Advice:

  • Do not copy from Microsoft Office.
    • Try mimicking my code.
  • All examples are more intelligible if preceeded by an asterisk "*", which produces a bullet point.
    • Try writing grammatical information in brackets or the like! :) In addition you could make abbreviations - from absolutive you get "abs".
  • Headers are made through writing ==Header==, with two equality signs giving the biggest header.
    • Only the first initial in headers is by convention capitalised.

Sincerely, Waahlis.png Waahlis 14:26, 27 January 2013 (CET)

Hey Waahlis,

Thanks a lot for cleaning up the code :) But for future editing, do you know of any freeware WYSIWYG editing tool that will generate code that I can just paste in?

Wikipedia if I recall is that way Zelos.png Emperor Zelos 06:49, 28 January 2013 (CET)

No... That wouldnṭ work... :/ They have the same one as us. Wikia has got one, but code getṣ screwed up when you copy it from the "visual" there. Is it the Microsoft Office online or the simple W ord? Waahlis.png Waahlis 21:16, 28 January 2013 (CET)

I was using just plain Microsoft Word (2007).--Linguist Wannabe (talk) 01:50, 29 January 2013 (CET)

Learn the code, its easiest if you ask me Zelos.png Emperor Zelos 06:10, 29 January 2013 (CET)

Hi!

You've been keeping an amazing pace lately! Keep it up!

Since your language is starting to get some real weight, I recommend you to write a little something about yourself on your user page! :)

Sincerely, Waahlis.png Waahlis 10:39, 15 February 2013 (CET)

At this rate we might need to go to having featured again! :) Zelos.png Emperor Zelos 11:02, 15 February 2013 (CET)

Exactly my thoughts! :) Waahlis.png Waahlis 11:16, 15 February 2013 (CET)

Thanks! But maybe I should do the syntax fist--Linguist Wannabe (talk) 13:06, 15 February 2013 (CET)

Productive and proud of it

The administration has decided to award your hard work and effort with Antarctican with a medal of your productivity! Put it on your user page to let it shine! Keep up the spirit, and you might go towards featured! {{Medal/productive}}

Splitting

Antartican is getting rather big, maybe splitting it up would be a good idea? Zelos.png Emperor Zelos 12:20, 2 March 2013 (CET)

Just done that!--Linguist Wannabe (talk) 03:30, 4 March 2013 (CET)
