Designed as the purely lexical element of Linguifex, Contionary makes it possible for users to store not only individual words or morphemes, but also full phrases in their constructed languages. An upcoming project will also give Linguifex users the opportunity to make Swadesh lists for their language families. We aim to include not only the definition of a word, but also enough information to really understand it. Thus etymologes, pronunciations, sample quotations, synonyms, antonyms and translations into other conlangs are included.

To create a definition, just enter your word in the box on the top of the page; a new page with ''Contionary'' preposed to your word will then be created. If you want to link your word on the wiki, there are a few templates available to speed it up, for example [[Template:C]] and [[Template:Term]].

The Contionary is a free, collaborative dictionary for the words of the constructed languages on Linguifex.

Designed as the purely lexical element of Linguifex, Contionary makes it possible for users to store not only individual words or morphemes, but also full phrases in their constructed languages. An upcoming project will also give Linguifex users the opportunity to make vocabulary lists (Swadesh, Leipzig-Jakarta) for their language families. We aim to include not only the definition of a word, but also enough information to really understand it. As such, we include etymologies, pronunciations, sample quotations, synonyms, antonyms and translations into other conlangs.

To create a definition, just enter your word in the box on the top of the page; a new page with Contionary preposed to your word will then be created. Try to fill out as much as possible in the template, and don't hesitate to add more if you want to. If you want to link your word on the wiki, there are a few templates available to speed it up, for example Template:C and Template:Term.

Good luck!
