Tricin (English: /ˈtrɪsin/ TRIS-in or /ˈtrɪkɪn/ TRIK-in; Eevo: a Smøøh /ə smœyh/; Clofabosin: tricin /tɾikin/ 'world'; Tsjoen: Xjeof /ɬjʌf/) is a collaborative conworld setting originally created by User:IlL (and to a large extent, User:Praimhín).

Some ideas and loose guidelines
- In general, conlangs and names should avoid words that sound like
- racial etc. slurs
- profanities in common Earth languages
- names of infamously destructive hurricanes (e.g. "Katrina" or "Harvey")
- Find a domain to host a dedicated wiki on
- A Tricin manga series?
- we could certainly imagine a TV show/video game set in Tricin as food for thought
- When creating a Trician character, you can give them multiple interests (like, say, mathematician and composer) but generally you should give them at most one field to be major or famous in, especially if the character is contemporary.
- Does Tricin have an equivalent to Japanese manga?
Todo
- Explore cultural contact and conflict, particilarly between Etalocians and non-Etalocians.
- Explore "scattered communities with local laws" ideas for political systems
- Need literature people in the workgroup
Star system
Tricin is the second of 7 planets orbiting a G-type main sequence star, called a hond in Eevo, grian in Clofabosin, and pjeos in Tsjoen.
Planet names in Eevo, Clofabosin and Tsjoen:
- Sfiþ, spitin, Njav - terrestrial
- Smøøh, tricin, Xjeof - terrestrial
- Satellite: Søøm, porfin, Tud
- Aloð, alatin, Joerat - terrestrial
- Fricoð, fricodin, Ljepn - super-Earth
- Sderciþ, sterocitin, Atka - gas giant
- Taroð, tarofudin, Kjeon - gas giant
- Llifr, clifarin, Zjutem - ice giant
The largest planet is Taroð and the smallest is Aloð.
Planetary characteristics
1 Trician year = 381.3668618 Earth days = 357.0806527870906 Trician days = 1.04410737342 Earth years
1 Trician day = 25.6323176 hours
357 days = 51 7-day weeks
Leap day every 12.3988275678 years
months: 30 30 30 29 30 30 30 29 30 30 30 29(30)
Leap year every 12 except when the year is divisible by 372. If the year is divisible by 130944=352*372 it's a leap year.
so the years 270, 520, 790, X40, 10E0, 1360, 1610, 1880, ... are not leap years
Continents
28% of Tricin's surface is land (i.e. not covered by water).
Continents (Areas are ballpark estimates):
- Eta-Talma (Eevo: Eþa-Talma): Spreads north to south, about 20% of the land
- Bjeheond (Eevo: Ogxóoŋ): about 10% of the land, temperate
- Txapoalli (Eevo: Nyçís) : about 30% of the land, climate varies widely
- Cualuav (Eevo: Cualuav): 30%, climate varies widely
- Polar ice caps: 10%
Other areas:
- Zoom Islands (near Txapoalli)
- Ldonjama (lots of languages)
TODO: Residual and spread zones within each continent.
